In this specialised training program, we focus exclusively on teaching your dog the art of loose leash walking. Our Loose Leash Dog Training Class is designed for friendly dogs of all ages, sizes, and breeds, from playful puppies to mature canines. Starting each session at the Polite Paws Kennel where you can drop off your dog to one of our friendly trainers who will then take your dog on a structured training walk where we will go through various loose leash training sessions and tasks with your dog spread out across 45mins. You are more than welcome to accompany your dog and trainer for the walk, or feel free to leave them with us to watch and train for the session. At the end of your dogs walk, our committed trainers will guide you through a series of exercises and techniques to practice at home tailored to encourage loose leash walking, these methods focus on positive reinforcement and reward-based training. By using treats, praise, and play to reinforce desirable behaviour, we ensure that your dog enjoys the learning process and remains motivated to succeed.
